gas prices (process description)

gas processing plant consist of

1-inlet gas separator
2-two or more adsorption towers filled with a solid desiccant
3-high temperature heater
4-regeneration gas cooler
5-regeneration gas separator to remove the condensed water from the gas
6-manifolds , piping and valves to control the flow

we will discuss later the flow diagram of gas processing
and will write in details gas prices around the world

gas prices (Handling process)

Gas Handling
the objective of gas handling is to separate natural gas,oil , and water.
so in this operation we try to conditioning natural gas for sale
after separation gas from condensate and water there is another important step
it is gas sweetening :the removal of corrosive sulfur compound from natural gas
we have more than 12 process to make natural gas ready for the market
gas pricing depend on the number of processes used for conditioning natural gas
we will discuss all this processes in details in the next lessons
Acid gas removal
Dehydration
Sulfur recovery
Tailgas treating
Mercury removal
Nitrogen rejection
Helium recovery
Liquids processing/natural gas liquids (NGL) recovery
Fractionation
deethanizers
depropanizers
debutanizers
Butane splitters

gas prices

people always confused why every place used for extraction of gases has it own price for example
Kansas City, MO 2.928
Albuquerque, NM 2.948
there is a small different between these two cities
if we try to figure out the cause for this difference we have to know first that gas prices depends on supply and demand
(This originated Petroleum Exchange market (forex
Dominate this market petroleum companies and big countries like USA
so every day we have a new price for natural gas and oil

gas prices (non hydrocarbon gases)

now we will talk about the effect of non hydrocarbon gases on the price of gas
non hydrocarbon gases like nitrogen . sulfur and oxygen this elements founded in the gas mixture as CO2,N2 and H2S

as the amount of non hydrocarbon gases increase the price of the natural gas decrease
because it will cost us money to separate these component from the natural gas
sulfur gases cause many problems  in our industry
acids cause corrosion for equipment also sulfur cause problem in
breathing
so knowing the amount of non hydrocarbon in natural gas help us in pricing the gas

properties of natural gases (gas prices)

gas prices depends on the gas type so if you want to know about gas prices you have to know about gas nature

behavior of gases can be explained in terms of pressure, volume and temperature
there is a law connect this terms called ideal gas law
but gases not ideal so scientists try to modify this law to describe the real gas state
also natural gases not pure but it is a mixture of component and each component has it own properties like molecular weight ,heating value and specific volume

so to explain the real gas behavior we need the copressibility factor z
(with the new factor (z
we can apply the gas law for hydrocarbon component
the next lesson will be about dealing with non hydrocarbon associated with natural gas
bye bye

welcome to gas prices

hi every one
my name is michael .i am  a petroleum engineer specialist in refining and petrochemical
i made this site to help people knowing about gas ,gas processing and gas prices in the market
first we will see together how we can determine the gas prices
first step
Identifying gas types and gas processing
(so i will  talk about gas properties (physical and chemical
also i will give you some information about how we drill for gas recovery and preparing processes
also i will tell you about how we transport gas for long ways

I hope that you will find what you need in my blog
